A lot of people, venture into business areas just because it is lucrative or some other persons had made it big in the business. It is quite normal to follow the economical trend in you locality, but pause to ask yourself a simple questions:
1. Can I really do this business for real?
This is very nice question, because a clear answer of it will define the motivation to start the business up. In fact, this is one important question every job seeker will need to give an answer to his/her prospective employer, “what can you do in this establishment?” So, a proper self-examination of your personal potentials, your strong and weak points will go a long way to choosing a business niche to follow and starting up uprightly.
2. What’s your knowledge level in the business?
Though it does work in some extent, I will strongly advice that you should venture into any business you don’t have a concise idea how it works. I mean understanding the mechanical flowchart or proceedings in the business. A lot of people venture into businesses they do not understand maybe because they have the start-up capital or mechanism in place. But that’s not all it takes to run the business to the successful height and to sustain it. Understanding you knowledge level in the business will give you an edge to successful running of your business.
3 Are you ready to Learn?
Alongside with your already crabbed knowledge about your business, you got to have an open mind, ready to learn every bit of issues that you come across in the business. Go ahead and learn craft related to the business, learn new and effective marketing strategies related to your niche. Read to discover more about your competitors, try to know what they know if not more. Learn about your costumers or clients, learn personnel management. Take a short course if need be.
This aspect involved your personal qualities re-examination. In this aspect, you have to consider what you can do most, the training you have acquired, the craft you have learned, the motivation and ofcourse, where you can function most. I bet you, I you give a keen consideration of this fact, you life will never be the same.
